As much as I love weddings, I love photographing rehearsal dinners too! It is an evening with your most VIP guests and an opportunity to make photos you can’t on the wedding day. (Group photos or special portraits being good examples.) It is also a way for your photographer to get to know the important people before the wedding day. I love being part of an entire wedding weekend and my couple’s love all the extra images they get. Here are two Montauk rehearsal dinner options I think you will love!
The Surf Lodge Rehearsal Dinner

Nestled on the shore of Fort Pond in Montauk, The Surf Lodge is a great place for your Montauk rehearsal dinner. (or wedding!) It features a large outdoor deck, beach and calming views of the pond. In addition, guests can even stay there since it is also a hotel. (My room was awesome, so going back!) This rehearsal dinner featured a speciality cocktail, seated dinner, speeches and a delicious s’mores dessert! There was a threat of rain, but it passed quickly and was a mostly dry evening. Something to consider when planning an outdoor event as the dining room was open for regular service.

At the entrance to Montauk Harbor sits Gosman’s Restaurant, a long time seafood favorite. With stunning view of boat traffic and easy access to Sunset Beach, it is a perfect choice for your Montauk rehearsal dinner. There was ample space for group photos inside between the delicious courses of chowder, steamed lobster and dessert. If you are lucky, there may be an amazing sunset at Sunset Beach for viewing and of course, picture taking. What an amazing place to welcome your guests to Montauk!
