What to Expect During a Portrait Session?
Location & Timing:
- We’ll meet at the agreed-upon location and time, typically at a well-known spot or entrance point. I will have pre-scouted the area for ideal photo opportunities. If there’s a particular place you love or find meaningful, feel free to let me know!
- Throughout the session, we’ll explore different poses and groupings to ensure we capture the best moments for you and all participants. If you’re planning a larger group or content creation, I’ll bring an assistant to help ensure everything goes smoothly.
What Should We Wear?
- Coordinate with others: Make sure outfits complement each other without being too matchy-matchy.
- Consider the background: Avoid colors that blend into the surroundings.
- Bring an outfit change: Feel free to mix it up! If you plan to change, please let me know ahead of time so we can allocate extra time and ensure you have a spot to change.

- Free Locations: Many beautiful locations in the area are available at no cost.
- Permits: Some locations require permits, which will vary and need to be secured in advance

- Seasonal Considerations: The time of year will influence lighting and weather conditions, so we’ll keep that in mind when choosing a date.
- For Families with Small Children: Scheduling around nap time and ensuring the little ones are well-rested will result in much happier photos!

How to Book Your Portrait Session
- Choose Your Date: We’ll set a date that works for you.
- Booking Proposal: I’ll send over a detailed booking proposal.
- Retainer: A retainer is required to secure your spot. This will be applied toward your final balance.
- Confirmation: We’ll confirm your session 2-3 days before the shoot.
- Weather Considerations: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll reschedule to a mutually convenient date.
