One of my favorite things about planning New York City elopements is creating a timeline that feels natural rather than rushed. For this celebration, we designed the day so everything flowed on foot—from the couple's hotel, The Park Lane, through Central Park to their ceremony on the shores of The Lake, and finally to a neighborhood pizza spot for a relaxed post-ceremony meal.

The forecast initially called for rain, so we shifted the timeline to later in the day and were rewarded with clearing skies and beautiful weather. The couple embraced every unexpected moment, including a few curious rats who emerged from the woods to serve as unofficial ceremony guests. Their laughter, flexibility, and sense of adventure made the day feel uniquely New York.
