What is a small glitch like a elevator not working when you are set to meet the love of your life on a roof deck for your first look? Was quite the scene the entire wedding party climbing the final 3 flights of stairs to the top of the Andaz Wall Street to access the roof, but no one tripped and we all made it to the top. (And a nice man from the hotel carried my bag because even that was going to be a bit much for my assistant!) I hadn’t seen the roof deck since I shot a wedding there a few years back, but I knew the view were gorgeous so worth the hike! Once we found a nice spot (aside from all the sunbathers, where did they come from?) the first look went off without a hitch and Christine and Danny’s wedding day was officially started!
After photos in Dumbo, (mostly in the shade, did I mention it was HOT?) the ceremony and reception were held at Brooklyn Winery in Williamsburg. We even managed to take several large family photos (like 20-32 people each) in the space as well, never an easy feat but this group was so great to work with as well as the winery staff. The winery looked lovely all decorated by G!Designs and the table settings with that rustic charm. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Silver Arrow Band before and they are excellent, so the night ended with lots of dancing and I’m sure more wine! Congrats Christine and Danny!
