It looked like it was going to snow, then it looked like it would rain, but nothing would dampen the spirit and fun of Robbie and Isabel on their wedding day at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. The incredible staff at The Lighthouse cleared a section of the snow and ice covered pier for the first look should the rain be light enough. Fortunately it was and our bride was willing to brave the cold and light rain. We were rewarded by a magical moment in a romantic scene on the Hudson River! It was a bit tricky getting around all the ice out there, but totally worth it!
The rest of the wedding went off without a hitch and is quite amazing how they transform The Lighthouse space through the evening. The Jewish ceremony was held just after sunset following the ketubah signing. One of the things I love about Jewish weddings is all of the traditions and especially the dancing. The hora provided some great moments Megan and I could capture of these families celebrating together. Just so much fun to be a part of. And to finish off the evening, there was a mezinka dance. At some Jewish weddings, when the last child is married off, a special dance is danced around the parents of that child. What a great time! Congrats Isabel and Robbie!
