Only a few games left at Shea Stadium! I went to one this week and had a great time. There was a broken bat incident. A drunk guy ran onto the field and it took 8 security guards to nab him. Met’s won. And we even got an express train back home. Hello Citi Field!

It is hard to stay focused on the gorgeous New York day as Gustav rips apart my home state. Not only do I have friends and family all over Southeast Louisiana, I lived in Houma for a few years.? It seems the eye passed directly over it. I’m hoping the damage isn’t as bad as it looks, but the Houma Courier was already declaring that “Gustav could be Cajun Country’s Katrina”.
This image taken in my hometown of Mandeville makes me want to laugh and then cry at the awful reality that this is happening again.
