Postcards from a cruise to Mexico

It has been such a brutal winter in New York his year. Thankfully we had a vacation with my extended family, including a cruise from New Orleans to Mexico on the M.S Elation, scheduled for March! It went by way too fast, but now I'm excited for summer and all the fun shoots coming up. I can still feel the warmth a little when I look at these. :)

We sailed to Cozumel and spent the day snorkeling and relaxing at Paradise Beach. The next day we docked in Progreso, Mexico and set out to the Dzibilchaltun ruins which also had a glorious clear cenote with lily pads. I wanted to stay there all day, but we continued to Rancho Tierra Bonita for a delicious lunch and rodeo. It was awesome! My father had tipped the waiter well and they just kept bringing us complimentary margaritas all afternoon long!

The boat was smaller than the ships we have been on before, but there was plenty to do and the food was generally excellent. We had lots of fun singing along with this super talented acoustic guitarist, Edd Carr, late into the night.   I can't wait to plan another vacation! Maybe a cruise from New York? Oh and, it goes without saying, you can totally hire me to photograph your vacation!
