Connecticut Wedding: George + Katie

Katie and George's wedding was truly a whole neighborhood affair with many fun DIY elements. The ceremony took place on the bride's parent's front lawn under a beautiful tree followed by cocktail hour on their side lawn. Then the reception was held across the street under a tent on a neighbors lawn. Other neighbors were doing the flowers, illustrating invites and decorating everything from the tables to a very nice portable toilet. Fire Roasted Catering was on site all day roasting meat, salted baked chickens, and scores of colorful veggies. The whole event felt like we traveled back in time to a close knit village where everyone came together to celebrate one of their daughters marry. It was just as lovely as it sounds, and then some.
